OUR SUSTAINABILITY POLICY

As Elexus Hotel Resort & SPA, operating in the global and Turkish tourism accommodation sector, we aim to integrate the concept of sustainability into our current operations, future investments, and value chain by assessing environmental, social, and corporate governance practices.

We adopt a sustainable development approach that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations, and we research conscious consumption methods and alternative resources to sustain natural resources, in line with the increasing global population and demands.

Our sustainability policy forms the foundation of Elexus Hotel Resort & SPA's activities and is incorporated into our business model, applicable to all our departments starting from our board of directors.

We are aware of our responsibility towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to overcome global challenges such as climate change, poverty, hunger, inequalities, water scarcity, and loss of biodiversity.

We aim to increase living standards and prosperity by expanding our investments, prioritizing the promotion of sustainable development in conducting our work and decision-making processes.

Conscious of our impact on ecological, economic, and social dimensions, we are determined to develop the following SDGs as our primary focus and shape our activities accordingly by 2030.

Aware of the need for technologies that consume less energy, we conduct production and services respectful of human health, biodiversity, and environmental resources, and we continue to research and integrate innovative best available technologies that offer pathways to a low-carbon economy by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and carbon footprint, according to the science-based targets initiative. In this context, within the scope of the European Green Deal, studies on waste reduction, efficient use of resources, and recovery of chemicals and energy are carried out in our investments.

With the active participation of our board of directors, our Sustainability Committee raises awareness about sustainable practices, examines and reports issues conflicting with our sustainability policies, and sets and improves short, medium, and long-term sustainability goals.

In our reports, we assess the positive and negative trends of the results of our activities for which we are responsible within our sphere of influence through internal and external audits and take corrective actions; we develop studies that will bring social, environmental, and economic improvement and apply national and international standards to offer the best quality in line with our stakeholders' needs.

To efficiently conduct business activities from an environmental, social, and governance perspective, we commit to:

• Consider human and labor rights, social justice, business ethics, workforce diversity, gender and opportunity equality, risk management, engagement and cooperation with stakeholders, legal compliance; and preventive measures against corruption, bribery, mobbing, discrimination, and child labor.

• Allocate necessary resources to integrate sustainability values such as low ecological footprint for the planet, combating climate change, efficient use of resources, water conservation, prioritizing efficient and reliable energy technologies, and supporting the circular economy, both into our own operations and into our suppliers within our value chain.

In this regard, we commit to reviewing our sustainability policy at regular intervals and keeping it up to date by consulting relevant departments. All our employees are obliged to cooperate in implementing and adopting our sustainability commitments.

During the implementation of our activities, actions are taken in accordance with international and local legislation and in line with our Biodiversity Management Plan, Waste and Wastewater, Air Quality, Community Health and Safety, Cultural Heritage, Environmental and Social, Environmental Emergency, Internal and External Complaint, Health and Safety, Human Resources, Stakeholder Engagement, Training, and Water Resources Management Plans.

Within the scope of environmental management systems, it is our principle to set new targets for the assessment and continuous improvement of direct and indirect carbon emissions, energy, and water consumption through Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and third-party independent environmental audits and drills.

In accordance with the waste management hierarchy, our primary target is to reduce waste at its source; where it is not possible to reduce the generated waste to zero, all wastes are separated according to their type.

Our stakeholders include local governments, ministries, NGOs, media, local communities, universities, suppliers, consumers, and our personnel. We value conducting meetings (surveys, etc.) among our stakeholders to provide official communication channels where transparent, sincere, and clear language is used. Consumer satisfaction and loyalty are monitored to improve our competence.

Aiming for zero accidents and zero occupational diseases in the facility, HSE performance is monitored, and the root cause of incidents threatening the health and safety of those in the workplace is investigated. It is adopted as a principle to conduct proactive, corrective, and preventive actions for a sustainable work environment. The training and development of our employees is a critical point for us; in this direction, we invest in sustainability training to encourage our employees' competence and awareness of their own potential.

We conduct fair, equal opportunity-providing, non-discriminatory, responsible, and humane relations and are careful to establish contact with the local community within our facility's sphere of influence.

Our employees and local communities actively provide us with feedback through complaint and suggestion mechanisms, aiming to assess and take action on potential risky situations and demands (training, employment, food supply, etc.) before they become critical.

Our Sustainability Policy is integrated with other environmental, social, and corporate policies of our company.

The Board of Directors commits to fulfilling the requirements stated in this policy and expects the same commitments from Elexus Hotel Resort & SPA employees.
